← back last day Mar 31, 2026My last day is set: April the 24th, 2026. I thought I would stay at the company for years, but I was not immune to layoffs.
It was fun. I learned all kinds of things from my colleagues. I also learned about myself through some of the hard situations we faced. And finally, I accepted that sometimes my intensity pays off, regardless of whether I have the emotional maturity to accept it. I think I can now: yes, I have some skills worth showing off.
What's next? I have no idea. Since I learned in November 2025 that I might be part of the layoff, I started interviewing again. So far, no success whatsoever. However, in late January, I passed the first interview with a company I had been applying to since 2016 without success. And now I'm in the final interview. Will I make it? I have no idea.
What I do know, mind you, is that I have tools to build during this sabbatical.
